River Kunhar
In all its glory , somewhere near Balakot -
In case you’re travelling up north , you just CANNOT pass this place without stopping here and getting indulged in the magnificence of mother nature.
We took around a twenty miute stop here while travelling to Naran this June. The travel sickness I’d been suffering from after a heavy meal in Abbotabad just vanished all of a sudden.
Dipping your feet in the icy cold water – one of the best feeling in the world!
KP is beautiful. KP is blessed. And if you’ve not been there as yet , you’re missing out what the ‘most dangerous’ country of the world has to offer.
Ramadan 2011

May 22nd : PNS Mehran Base Attack – What sophisticated terrorists ! Taliban. No. Al-Qaeda! No..Indian/ Israeli hand! Inside job?errr….it certainly was no security lapse!
May 13th : DG-ISI and COAS ‘surrendered’ themselves to the parliament. Oye hoye hoye hoye. History! A joint resolution condemning America’s violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty was just so ‘awesome’! *tears*
May 29th : Saleem Shehzad abducted and later tortured to death - He was getting too big for his boots. And everybody knows who did it.
June 5 : Budget - Rs.150 billion reward for the armed forces for their outstanding services to this nation.
Nobody felt responsible. Nobody resigned. Nobody was sacked.
Enquiries. Commissions. Reports.
Lies lies and more lies.
But hey! these are just petty issues.
Guess what?!
SC has taken a suo moto notice over FIA letting go Atiqa Odho for carrying liquor. Discrimination they said. An airhostess had to face the law in an identical case. (Akhir Kyun Me-lord? Yeh na-insaafi kyun!?)
Now that’s what you call a SOLID issue!
Die Pakistanis. Nobody cares.
Stolen: Nanga Parbat
Animals
So Miramshah witnessed an end to 44 more terrorists yesterday. Congratulations Pakistan! Congratulations for getting rid of 44 more ugly cheap and disgusting animals. You’re crying over two lives taken by Raymond Davis or whatever his name is. Here you are. 44 more. Terrorists. You are safe Pakistan. The holy drones have done their job again. They are so precise after all.
Al Ma’oon – Small Kindnesses
Surah Alma’oon translated as Small Kindnesses is the 107th chapter of the glorious Quran. Here’s the Pickthall translation of the chapter.
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficient, the most Merciful
1. Hast thou observed him who belieth Religion?
2. That is he who repelleth the orphan,
3. And urgeth not the feeding of the needy.
4. Ah, woe unto worshippers
5. Who are heedless of their prayer;
6. Who would be seen at worship
7. Yet refuse small kindnesses!
Gender Selection and Islam
When I wrote on the issue of gender selection for the first time, I had no idea how popular the concept is in our country. In fact, I was not even aware that you could actually decide whether your baby’s gonna be an XX or an XY. Over the year I received considerable traffic from surfers looking for sex selection. I decided to speak again on the topic keeping in mind those who land on my blog looking for some sort of ‘help’ in acquiring such services. This time what triggered off the post was an SMS I recieved around two weeks back. It said:
Baby boy
InshaAllah!
Son or Daughter you can choose with natural and Islamic method, 95% success rate, call 03334268*** or visit www.rightchoice.net.ms
Although the message says you could choose a son or a daughter , the attraction ‘Baby Boy’ is enough to comprehend what this organization is actually trying to do – Luring all you desperate parents to design that XY combination. And honestly , none of you would be THAT desperate for a girl. The right choice people know that. Hence the right choice for a starting- Baby Boy.
What really pissed me off about the promotion was the use of ‘Islam’ to justify something so disgusting. If the terrorists were not enough for defaming the relgion , the ‘butchers’ are the latest to join the force.
So the day I received the sms , I wrote two emails to understand this forced connection with Islam. I wrote one to the people propagating this ‘great cause’ asking them how they call it Islamic. They never replied back. What would they come up with any way.
I wrote another one to an Islamic organization to confirm my belief regarding the issue. I received the following reply:
Respected Brother/Sister in Islam
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh
It is the prerogative of Allah alone to determine the gender of a child. No person has the right to decide the gender of the child besides Him. Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:
لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ يَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَاثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ الذُّكُورَ
“To Allah alone belongs the skies and the earth. He creates whatever He wishes. He grants to whomsoever he desires female offspring and he grants to whomsoever he wishes male offspring” ( Surah ash-Shura, Verse: 49)
The practice of determining the gender of the child with certainty before birth is un-Islamic and should be avoided.
We are unable to access the website you have referred us to in your email.
And Allah Knows Best.
Wassalaam.
I understand the obsession with producing a male offspring in this country. And why this country only, the issue is common to the whole region and I may not be making a ‘sweeping generalization’ here by saying the whole world. From infanticide to wife torture to polygamy, a woman has to pay the price for what a man is responsible in this illiterate part of the world. It’s the sperms after all.
Those who are educated enough to not blame the women and are not willing to accept it as God’s wish either then form a ‘market’. So when there is a market’ there is a marketer. And the marketer tends to choose anyway possible for making his product successful. Even if it means declaring a war against God by using His religion to justify such practices.
I don’t expect a clamp down on such clinics . The newspapers are full of such promotions and yet nobody seems to be doing anything about the problem. So I’d rather use my webspace to tell all you thankless creatures to be happy with what you have. And if you’re getting any SMSes calling the service ‘Islamic’ and you’re happy that you’ve got a certification from God to carry on with this sick attitude , you’re highly MISTAKEN!

Sindh-Culture,Crime,Power and Politics
While nothing remained safe from the curse of PPP during it’s three year ‘raaj’ in the country, it was the Sindhi topi and ajrak that gained ‘value’ more than anything else. From Pakistan Na-khappay to Pakistan Khappay to singing songs in favour of the Sindhi topi and ajrak – the only thing PPP seems to have succeeded in is fanning Sindhi sentiments.
Although I am digusted at how people choose to vote based on their castes and other associations throughout the country, the Sindh case is especially beyond my comprehension.
PPP popular as the only ‘federal’ party has its roots in the interior Sindh. Although the foundation of the Party was laid in Lahore and most of the party’s prominent leaders are/were Punjabi , PPP always retained the Sindhi flavour which worked as an opium for the Sindhi Masses.
The magical ‘Bhutto’ surname in power was, and still is, enough for Sindhis to feel ‘empowered’ and vote for the party. The fact that Sindh remains predominantly a backward area despite PPP’s rise to power several times since its inception never mattered. What seems to matter is a Sindhi-topi-ajrak-wearing head in the Presidency or the Prime Minsiter house. A head who remembers Sindh only when feels intimidated by criticism. Criticism that becomes a conspiracy against the great land of Sindh depending on the ethnic background of the critic.
When the Sindhi topi day was celebrated for the first time in 2009 , I felt disgusted at the ‘so-called’ celebrations because they came as a ‘reaction’ to a justified criticism. A tv anchor criticised his majesty Zardari Sayeen, the President of Pakistan, for wearing a Sindhi cap while attending Hamid Karzai’s swearing in ceremony in Afghanistan. His point – The President should’ve avoided expressing his ‘Sindhi’ background because he is supposed to be the head of the federation and not just Sindh. It gives out a negative message.
How dare he?
Out came the PPP’s favourite Sindh card. The issue was blown out of proportion. The criticism became an ‘attack’ on the Sindhi culture. As a result came the Sindhi topi day for the first time. Sindhis flaunted their caps and Ajraks and ‘made a point’.
One year later, this december, the Sindhi topi day acquired the status of the ‘Sindhi Culture Day’ and was celebrated on a larger scale with lesser negativity(I believe). The good for nothing Sindh government announced a public holiday and Sindhis were spotted enjoying the day, wearing sindhi caps and ajraks dancing on the tunes of Sindhi folk songs.
Despite the fact that I really dislike the history of these celebrations and am very much against a whole day off to allow people flaunt their ethnicity, It was pleasant to see people having fun with the idea. Along with these pleasant sights came some unpleasant questions related to Sindhi culture that are perhaps much more serious than the perceived insult to the Sindhi ‘caps’. Haq Bakhshish is one such evil practised in parts of Punjab and especially Sindh that the most ‘sympathetic’ government to the Sindhis must eradicate.
‘Haq Bakhshish’ or giving up the right to marry is a not so uncommon tradition followed by the feudal families of Sindh mostly- And when it is ‘feudal’ families , it is very serious because the power-structure in the Sindh is based on these very feudal families.
Following this tradition a woman is married to the Quran in a ceremony. This implies that she has given up her right to marry a man and will spend a ‘pious’ life reading the Quran her entire life. This gross insult of the religion and of human rights is carried out for the sole purpose of preventing the family wealth from going outside the family.
Islam provides a woman her property rights. If a woman according to these feudal families, marries within the family, the wealth stays within the family. If there’s no match-let alone a ‘suitable’ match- for the poor woman , she’ll have to fore go her basic human right to preserve her family wealth. Yes, wealth at the cost of human life , wealth at the cost of religious violations.
The tradition is more popular amongst Syed feudals. Syeds are the descendants of the Holy Prophet and are usually not willing to marry outside the caste because of the superiority complex their minds are infested with. (Pathetic , how people who take pride in having blood ties with the Prophet, violate and insult the religion the same Prophet spent his life preaching.)
Haq Bakshish and similar other crimes committed by the powerful, the upholders and saviours of the Sindhi culture, really prove the futility of these ‘topi’ celebrations. A day off for wearing Sindhi cap is not going to add to Sindhi honour. A day for emphasising human rights violations committed in the name of culture will perhaps save the honour of Sindhi women (read objects). But can we expect much when we know that PPP derives its power from these very feudal families?
Do we have any reason to believe serious efforts will be made to eradicate such evils when the PPP number two, Benazir’s right hand man, PPP’s de-facto leader in her absence and now a puppet party President has his four sisters married to the Book? Do we have much to expect when we know that the man who was being viewed as the only eligible person to succeed Benazir, the favourite contestant for the job of the Prime Minister and now a mere Minister for trade and Commerce treats his own sisters as trash?
Unfortunately, those who love playing the victimization card oppress their people more than anyone else. More than 60 years since the country’s birth, Sindh remains a backward area. Larrkana , the PPP power-house is still a place none of us would like to live in. No education, no basic facilities, record-breaking human rights violations and above all Feudal raaj. That’s Sindh for you.
But do the masses care?
They are happy as long as they are referred to while crying ‘Injustice to Sindh’. They are happy as long as they see a Sindhi topi in power. Happy as long as used as a tissue paper. Happy as long as they get to celebrate a Sindhi culture day. Happy to sing ‘Sindhi topi ajrak wara jiyen’.
Sindhi topi is all that seems to matter. Sindhi lives take a back seat. The ‘honour’ after all lies in what’s on the head , not what’s in the head.
WikiLeaks
Partly busy, partly uninterested and partly fed up – I had almost stopped blogging and watching politcal talk shows that I used to closely follow until a few months back. The latest WikiLeaks episode just got me back into the rythm. Thank you WikiLeaks!
Actually
It’s not WikiLeaks but our own political ‘gems’ that made my blogging comeback possible. If it were not for them , I would still be hibernating. I couldn’t resist the temptation! I just HAD to drop a few lines in the honour of our great politicians and some intellActul analysts. So thank you all you dimwits!
Owein Owein :
”Yeh humaray mulk ke politicians ke khilaf ek Cons-Pie-Racy hai.”
( I don’t know how to use this word but who cares , it’s our favourite term. Although we are the worst kind of creatures on this great land, how dare they?!)
”Jo kuch Wikileaks mein Noon league ke baray mein kaha gaya woh sab to jhoot hai per jo People’s party aur Musharraf ke baray mein kaha gaya, wo sab sach hai.”
( Wikileaks is lying about our great flawless leader of Tax chori fame but they are absolutely right about that 10 percent and that what’s his name? Hang him under the article 6!)
”Yeh musalman mumalik ke khilaf ek sazish hai.”
(I hardly behave as a Muslim is supposed to behave but I know something is cooking about us great, sinless and naive Muslims.)
”WikiLeaks ki koi authenticity nahin hai.” (sirf humari hai).
(Ignore and let us keep fooling you. It’s so much fun!)
etc etc etc
It does not take a lot to prove to the world your idiotic tendencies doesn’t it?
Go WikiLeaks! Expose them all. Unmaks all these patriotic generals and these billionaire blood-sucking awami servants. I know you wouldn’t like to concentrate ONLY on our great land of the ‘pure’ (as some politicians like to believe) but yes please keep working on us. It’s worth the effort.
Eagerly waiting for some more dirty secrets.
A Pakistani.
Advocating Our Own Murder
The truth about the Iraq war came out painting Blair and Bush as the ugliest characters of the recent times. Nobody bothered to take any action against the proven greatest warriors (read terrorists) in the war on terror, for these warriors belonged to the ‘powerful’ side – the aggressors. However, it is made sure that the ‘suspects’ living in the war-zone of Afghanistan and Pakistan are droned in a few seconds, ridding the world of ‘potential’ threats but in fact, ‘creating’ more terrorists.

Unveil The Mind, Not the Head
read the placards carried by demonstators protesting against Kosovo’s ban on headscarves in schools.
France’s ban on the niqab caused uproar throughout the Muslim world that felt Muslims were being targeted for whatever reasons. But when it comes to Muslim majority states like Turkey and Kosovo taking steps that go against religious freedom, we are happy being silent hypocrites.
While there was some talk about Turkey’s headscarf ban a few years back, I am surprised why I never heard of a year old ban on headscarves by Kosovo–Perhaps because our News channels are interested in giving us stupid Bollywood news instead of the world beyond the sub-continent.
From what I learnt after following the news on the recent protests against the ban, the secular state of Kosovo says the ban on wearing headscarves in pubic schools was placed following the ‘constitution’. While this is the official reason given to justify the ban, It is believed that the ban is actually an attempt to join the EU through the display of an inclination towards the ‘European Values’.
Whatever the case, the ban remains unjustified. I wonder what countries like Turkey and Kosovo are trying to prove by taking such steps when the European countries at large do not believe in such discrimination themselves. If there’s no problem with the headscarf in the UK –a world leader - how does it affect the pursuit of ‘European values’ in Turkey and Kosovo? Or is it that the definition of European values is different in countries that are desperately trying to get into the EU umbrella than how the rest of the Europe defines it. Pehaps when they say Europe, they mean France.
The underlying message of the discrimination – The scarf decides your future. It’s a choice between your religion and your education. If you want an education, go against God. If you want to obey God , forget about your basic right.
Unveiling the mind is definitely more important than unveiling the head in the name of ‘equality’ for it is the what is IN your head that makes you ‘modern’ and not what’s ON your head – something these MUSLIMS need to understand more than anyone else.
The Ayodhya Verdict
A court of mortals has finally proven that a deity was born in a place called Ayodhya ( thousands of years ago) exactly on the spot where a mosque was built centuries earlier.
A deity believed by many followers of Hinduism to be only a ‘mythological character’.
Killing ‘The Suspects’
In his book ‘Enemy Combatant’, Moazzam Begg - the famous ex- guantanamo bay detainee(read abductee) – writes about his plans he’d made to join the British Army keeping in mind the military tradition in his family. His grandfather and greatgrandfathers had served under the mughal army during Aurangzeb’s era and later under the British Indian Army. When Begg’s father learnt about his plans , he told him how he wanted to join the Pakistan Air force in his youth but was dissuaded by his own father who said
‘Wars are not fought with honour and courage anymore. Any coward can drop a bomb from thousands of feet and kill thousands of people – soldiers or civilians. Where’s the bravery in that?’
How true is that.
Such displays of bravery are especially quite rampant in the war zones of Pakistan and Afghanistan nowadays. The world’s best intelligence agency gathers information about some suspects in an xyz area in the war zone and within no time these ‘suspects’ are blown into pieces by unmanned drones. Interestingly, these ‘suspects’ are usually civilians – women , kids – no discrimination when it comes to suspicion please!
When asked about the civilian killings , the bloodshed is justified through statements like ‘there’s a war going on’ or terms like collateral damage. This is what the flagbearers of human rights tell you when you talk to them about human rights -
Executions without trials are okay.
That it is okay to kill anyone , anywhere for being a ‘suspect’.
If the suspect is actually a terrorist – great ! If not, Hey! collateral damage ! No skin off my nose! ( in this case America’s nose)
Their attitude is understandable really. After all it is the Pakistanis and Afghans who are being killed. Not Americans! So it is perfectly alright for them keeping in view their extra-ordinary record of crimes against humanity. What bothers me is the attitude of the ones who are supposed to act as our saviours , the ones I’ve grown up considering my heroes – the Pakistan Army. No more.
Remembering Beirut
16th September 1982
Around 2000 innocent Palestinians and Lebanese civilians were massacred by a Lebanese militia and the Israeli army within a few hours. The Sabira and Shatila – Palestinian refugee camps – were raided by the Christian phalangist group backed by the Israeli army a few hours after the assassination of the Christian President-Elect Bashir Jemayel. Women raped, babies shot, men slit apart. Entire families murdered in cold blood.
American reaction
President Ronald Reagan was ‘horrified’ by the attack.
‘’All decent people must share our outrage and revulsion’’ he said.
Justice
A judicial enquiry was made into the matter and the Israeli Foreign Minister Aerial Sharon was held responsible. Sharon resigned only to become the Prime Minister years later.
11th september 2001
A bunch of terrorists hijacked three planes and the symbols of America’s economic power came crumbling down killing thousand of innocent civilians. The crime committed, as per Sheikh Mohammad’s statement, was for the ‘awakening’ of the American people. For telling them that America must stop it’s support to Israel.
American Reaction :
(The statement was incidentally made on the 16th of September 2001)
‘’…….this crusade , this war on terrorism is gonna take a while.’’ said Bush.
Justice
9 years down the tragic event millions of innocent civilians have been killed in the name of peace.
16th September 2010
Nobody remembers Beirut.
For what happened in New York – the killing continues.
Is there something called ‘human blood quality’ ?
Dynasty Politics
Sonia Gandhi has been ‘elected’ as the chairman of India’s congress party once again. Zardari is reported to have called her to congratulate her on her ‘victory’.
My version of the conversation that might have transpired between the two ‘democrats’ -
Zardari : Hello Mrs. Gandhi! I’ve heard you’ve been able to fool them again? Congratulations!
Sonia : Thank you Mr. Zardari. Yes it was a cakewalk. There was no competition at all.
Zardari: How could there be any one competing against you Sonia jee? It’s like committing political suicide. Or worse , it’s like blasphemy! They wouldn’t dare!
Sonia : *laughs* Yeah…you know how it is. I am the best choice. There’s none better than me in the country’s largest political party. They know it. The ‘surname’ – it’s just the greatest blessing one could ever ask for being an Indian.
Zardari : Who can understand that more than me. Take that ‘bhutto’ thing out of my politics , and they won’t even give me a second look.
Sonia : So how have things been lately? I heard you’ve been criticized a lot for your latest visit to Europe. And what’s that shoe incident I heard about? Isn’t it getting dangerous for you?
Zardari : Oh that’s nothing. I do whatever I want. They keep screaming. Everytime something seriously goes wrong. I just make a speech regarding Bhuttos’ sacrifices and how I’ve taken their mission forward. I just tell them that there’s some conspiracy brewing against their poor leader from the minority province. I tell them Benazir resides in me , she talks to me and guides me and when I speak to them , it’s not Asif Ali Zardari , but Benazir Bhutto who’s actually addressing them. And you know what’s the best part? Some of them even listen to me. Emotional fools!
Sonia : Oh yeah I understand . These dead relatives , they are the best cards you can play for your political mileage.
Zardari : Absolutely. The woman was no good to me until she was alive. I was a nobody. Look at me now. I am the most powerful man in the country.
Sonia : So how are the kids?
Zardari : They’re fine. Im preparing them to take over. They’ve already added the Bhutto surname to their names as you know. That’s the most important requirement for being a people’s party chairman. I wanted to do that too. But you know , they wouldve called me mentally sick. Well they do that anyways…..kher…I’m telling them to start learning Urdu now. They’ll have to use it a lot when they contest elections in the future. A prime minister who doesn’t know how to speak Urdu just doesn’t work you know. Then , Ill teach them how to use the Sindh card. I know they’ve not spent much time in Pakistan.. But you know how it is. They MUST know how to create rifts for political point-scoring. And then they have their dead grandfather , uncles , mother and eleven years of their father’s imprisonment to cry ‘victimization’ and get sympathy votes.
You tell. How’s Rahul? All set to take over the ‘throne’ ?
Sonia : Oh that he is ! Being a Gandhi , he is the only eligible politician for the prime ministerial post. He acts stupid sometimes but Im grooming him. He’ll make a fine leader. It’s in his blood. He’s born to be the PM of the world’s largest democracy. He’s a Gandhi. He’s bound to rule India.
Zardari : Democracy Khappay!
Sonia : What’s that you keep saying all the time? Khappay?
Zardari : That’s just a mantra I keep repeating. Forget it.
Sonia : So is the puppet prime minister at your end working fine?
Zardari : Oh yes. He does seem to act as if he is the ‘prime minister’ sometimes – I show him his ‘aukaat’ everytime he does that . Hope Singh’s not bothering you?
Sonia : Not at all. He knows it’s a Gandhi he has to deal with. He wouldn’t dare raise his voice. ‘Democracy’ you know. We are the maharajas and mahranis of these ‘democracies’.
Zardari : True , I feel like a king. This word ‘democracy’ is so magical. Ah these fools. Only if they knew…
Hey I got to go , Gilani’s been reported to have taken a decision on his own. I must go and deal with him…
Sonia : Sure. I must also go and celebrate my ‘well-deserved’ post. I am the queen once again!
Zardari : See you queen , keep fooling them
Sonia : I will – take care
Zardari : Take care and yeah – ‘ Jiye Bhutto’ ;)
Sonia : Sadaa jiye ;)
Refreshing Iftars
As the monsoons have almost ended in our part of the country , rozas have become hard. They were not initially – as I had thought they would be keeping in view the summer heat and excessive power cuts. Most of the Ramadan has been spent during a bearable weather .I’d say. But towards the end , rains have disappeared and loadshedding has struck back with full force after a short break during the rain season. (Oh and they are not ethical enough to spare us even during Sehar and Iftar as they promised they would! )
For some odd reason , our generator gets conked out whenever it is needed the most – making the heat more oppressive. So the last ashra has been tough comparatively.
As I write random stuff , I am reminded of the drinks that help us recuperate our energy that gets drained throughout the fasting period. So let’s move on from discussing heat to some refereshing stuff.
The daily drinks that we prepare for iftari our the first ones to disappear from the table. There have been a variety of drinks in the daily iftar menue. Tempting enough to dedicate a post to them =p (I guess)
Falsa Juice
Although falsas are out of season , we still get a home-made purple falsa drink for iftar every other day. We are a falsa loving family- a tiny subset of a falsa loving nation ( I am yet to come across a Pakistani who doesn’t like falsa or mangoes) – and make sure that we freeze an ample amount of falsas to enjoy even after they are not available in the market. Falsas make a ‘guest appearance’ and usually last in the market for around 2 months. The chilled falsa juice , sometimes plain and sometimes prepared with ‘ soda’ or ‘sprite’ is one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve ever tasted.
Lemonade
Or Sekanjabeen( Ive hardly ever pronounced that word properly) or Limo-Pani/Nimbu-Pani is the other common item on the table. Again , one of the most delicious drink no person I know doesn’t like . The drink is served plain sometimes and sometimes made ‘fizzy’ with the addition of Sprite. I like it both ways. ( Somehow, Cameron pops into my mind when I mention ‘both ways’ – ah never mind – no politics for a change!)
Jaam-e-Shireen :
Is the most famous local red drink in the country. Jaam = drink and Shireen = sweet . We didn’t drink much of it during the earlier parts of Ramadan. I’ve been making it since a few days and believe me , breaking your fast after a hard day of fasting , jam-e-shireen is absolutely heavenly. Chilled ofcourse.
Lassi
And one of my all-time favourites, Lassi. The first day I decided to add lassi in the iftar menu , I thought about adding some mint. We have it planted in our back garden. The experiment turned out to be ‘refreshingly wonderful’. Homemade yougurt plus home-grown mint – the drink acquires a ‘special status’. I continued making the drink throughout the month. Mint has been a regular ingredient in almost all the different items Ive prepared since then. I even stuck them into green chillies along with lemon and chaatmasala yesterday =/
By the way , flour coated green chillies stuffed with lemon juice and anaardana(pomegranate seeds) fried for a few minutes are one of the best things to eat. Do not forget your Chapati along with the mirch. It is a delicious torture.
‘Tera bairra gharak hoye ‘ is what I get to hear when my family cannot resist the temptation of the special chillies I make occasionally. Runny nose , watery eyes , and a great burning sensation are the side-effects but the taste is just worth bearing all this hardship. I tell them it is okay and that they’ll have their stomachs ‘clean and clear’ by a few hours :P
Tea
And atlast , the dinner ends on tea. While other drinks may be skipped on some days, tea is a must. Only me, my mother and my aunt gulp down full mugs of tea as a ‘necessity’. We’re addicted.
Halal Meat Threatening French Secularism
After the veil , French secularism is being threatened by halal meat. Halal burgers are giving French politicians and ‘intellectuals’ nightmares.
Islamisation of France!
Discrimination!
French secular values being betrayed!
Save France from growing Islamic influence!
The outcry is around 9 months old and began after ‘Quick’ , the second largest fast-food chain in France took non-halal products and pork off the menu in the Rubaix branch of Northern France. French politicians called it ‘discrimination against non-Muslims’ and called for a boycott of the chain.
Some went on to warn about the ‘islamisation’ of France for what the managers call a ‘business move’, earning more profits without any complaints. (France has a Muslim population of 5 million – the largest in Europe – offering great profits for halal meat catering.)
‘Prejudicial Religious catering’ is what Quick was accused of when they replaced bacon with smoked turkey to target the Muslim market. Nine months later , Quick has announced that 22 out of its 346 fast-food outlets will serve halal-only menus ,aggravating the controversy.
With all this cry of islamisation of france and discrimination against non-muslims , it is interesting to note that Quick is 94 % owned by a subsidiary of a state-controlled bank.
So , are the French secularists undermining their own values by spreading Islamic Influence? Or is it that the uproar is unjustified? That the move is merely a business thing. That it’s about targeting the Muslim market instead of the Muslim minority targeting French values?
It is getting absurd. I don’t know whether to laugh at the reaction or to worry about it. What else to expect next? Muslim skull cap discouraging integration of the French or could it be Islamic banking encouraging their segregation?
Whatelse do you call Islamophobia?
Embarrassed Yet Again
Terrorists, politicians, mobs, racists, feudals, cricketers – I am sick and tired of condemning the rotten eggs defaming my country throughout the world. The moment you stop condemning one thing, you have another shameless event to embarrass you. I have no words to explain or condemn the shamelessness of those filling their pockets at the expense of the nation’s honour.
While the nation is in a state of mourning on the worst floods the country has ever witnessed , we have another feather to our cap. In Salman Butt’s style – Another ‘dedication’ to the flood affectees.
Prime Minister says his head hangs in shame after hearing about the match fixing scandal. Zardari has taken ‘notice’ and Jhakrani is talking of a life-time ban on those who are found guilty for embarrassing the nation. A classic case of a pot calling a kettle black.
They are all one. They are all here to fill their own pockets . They all mean business. The country’s pride and self-respect can go to hell .
In my brother’s words - ‘Sab bhoonkay nangay mulk ko lootnay agaye hain.’

Not long ago , going against its old slogan of anti-feudalism, Altaf Hussain issued a statement from his hide-out in London proposing Zardari as the new President of Pakistan. He was the first one to recommend the most corrupt person as the country’s head – ofcourse after striking a power sharing deal in the name of reconciliation. MQM had agreed to a formula that would allow them to work in coalition with the feudal forces of Sindh and the ones sitting in Islamabad.
Two years later , MQM chief has suddenly woken up to his anti-feudalism rants. After 2 and a half years of democracy’s return , Altaf Hussain is now demanding actions by the patriotic generals of Pakistan to eradicate corrupt and feudal politicians of the country. The greatest sympathiser of the Pakistani awam , enjoying a secure life in London , is welcoming the patriotic generals to impose martial law in the terror-stricken land.
The self-proclaimed absconding leader of the 98 percent is demanding the abrogation of the constitution in an attempt to ‘save’ the nation. The man has initiated another debate in the disaster-stricken country - should the army take over again ? Has the system failed ? Are ALL politicians corrupt. Are a handful of generals so efficient that they’ll take Pakistan to the roads of prosperity?
Famous for his rants over his telephonic speeches , the great politician the country is ‘blessed’ with is demanding the suspension of certain human rights , revokation of freedom of expression, and submission of judiciary to the khaki danda.
Prime Minister says that he’s unaware of the ‘context’ of Hussain’s statement and that political parties had ‘sacrificed’ a lot for the restoration of democracy.
Please Mr. Gilani,
You’re not that naive. You know what the man is demanding. You know it won’t hurt him because he doesnt care what system is followed in the country until and unless he continues to enjoy power on provincial and central levels. And what do you mean ALL parties sacrificed for democracy? MQM never made any sacrifices. Or is it that you don’t consider them a ‘political’ party? If yes, then I agree with you.
They are more of a cult. They religiously follow what their absconding leader says no matter if it’s rubbish to the core . Advocates of democratic principles just a few days ago , his followers - better disciples – are favouring his latest recommendations. The system has failed , theyve suddenly started saying. Two and a half years are enough for them to pass such fatwas. They want new masters now. They are bored of you and your reconciliation policies.
The demand by the way has come at a time when Karachi is witnessing cold-blooded murder on daily basis. Hundreds have been killed in clashes between the allied forces. And it’s not the ‘feudals’ who are being eradicated. Racist thugs diguised as people’s representatives are gunning down citizens to quench their thirst for ethnic violence. Mercy and humanity seem to be alien to the political forces in Karachi.
So why not ask for an operation clean-up in Karachi before backing martial law? Let the ‘patriotic’ generals show their leadership skills in the financial hub first. The country cannot afford the financial capital to observe ’mourning’ every other month. Let the patriotic generals take the city out of chaos and then put the country on the road to success. Let the army eradicate all the terrorists and racist murderers from the great city of the Quaid. Let it root out the jageeradarana and Altafana nizaam of the largest city. Let it first clamp down on the Shahi Syeds , the Ghauris , the Rizvis and the Kamals. But Peer Sahab Altaf Sahab sharif will certainly not like that. He wants power - at every cost.
Please don’t listen to the Pir sahab of London O thou ‘generous’ generals! Please stick to what you’re supposed to do. We want you on the fronts , helping us survive the floods not in the presidency enjoying perks after submitting the whole nation to your danda rule.
An Eye For An Eye
Many will be reminded of the famous Gandhian quote as soon as they read the topic. But this is not what you’re just about to read.
The savagery , the butchery, the ferociousness, the blood-thirstiness, the barbarity, the brutality that we are witnessing in today’s world- and have continued to witness since time immemorial- is to be blamed not to the lawlessness but to the implementation and the failure of implementation of flawed laws and judicial policies that we take pride in for being ‘just’
The law has existed since centuries. Moses(pbuh), Jesus(pbuh) and Mohammad(pbuh) all were sent with the same law
An eye for an eye….a tooth for a tooth…
Most of you, if not ALL of you, would call me another extremist out there, preaching barbarism and human rights violation. But Id rather call you inconsiderate and indifferent towards the animalism that we all so proudly yet foolishly approve of, and that too, in the name of ‘human rights’ and ‘justice’.
The way two kids have been slaughtered in broad daylight with tens and hundreds of low-life creatures watching the tamasha including the so-called upholders of law , the police, has forced me to believe that there’s no law that is going to end the animalism that we hear of throughout out the country and the world except the severest forms of punishment prescribed by the Divine Himself.
And We prescribed for them therein: The life for the life, and the eye for the eye, and the nose for the nose, and the ear for the ear, and the tooth for the tooth, and for wounds retaliation. But whoso forgoeth it (in the way of charity) it shall be expiation for him. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are wrong-doers.
Quran 5:45
Forgiveness is indeed a great virtue. Our religion teaches us to be merciful and places great importance on the forgivenes aspect. But it is also very just. All the Abrahamic faiths were sent with the message of peace and justice but we chose to invent our own forms of ‘justice’ that only led to more injustice in the world.
The law does not imply that every one is allowed to take law in his/her hands. Just as any other law , it is to be implemented by the authorities. Severe punishments deter crimes. It is only natural. The fear of tit for tat will eradicate most of the problems the world is infested with. There can be no human rights protection without justice and fairness.
It is easy to pass comments regarding so-called human rights violation associated with the prescribed law. It is easy to sit in your drawing rooms and demand that a person be prisoned for murdering instead of being hanged for
a)killing a person
b)spreading mischief in the land
c) encouraging others to indulge in crimes and get away with them
d) ruining families etc.
and that too, in the name of human rights.
It will also be easy for the human rights activist to raise their voices against the execution of the brutal murderers of the lynched brothers i.e. If it ever takes place. But it will be difficult for them to accept that THIS would be the truest form of justice helping us become a better society, a more human society.
An eye for an eye will set all these animals straight. When they’ll know in Balochistan that they’ll be killed for burying alive women in the name of honour , they’ll stop burying them. When they’ll know in Sindh that they’ll be executed for murdering women after declaring them kari , they’ll stop being their owners. When men in Punjab will know that they will be severly punished for declaring rape justified , they’ll stop being the holy judges . When men in KP will know that their noses and ears will be chopped off for mutilating the faces of their mothers , wives and sisters , women will be treated as human beings and not lifeless commodities. When men will know that their faces will also be mutlilated with acid for soothing their sinister egos , they’ll stop treating women as things. When men in India will know that they’ll be held accountable for infanticide that they take pride in , they’ll start honouring human life.
When feudals will know they too will be drowned for drowning the poor, they’ll stop being waderas. When leaders will know they’ll be properly dealt with for playing with the lives of the very people they are ought to serve , they’ll start being leaders in the true sense. When the flag-bearers of human rights start believing that their lives are as sacred as the weak , they’ll stop dishonouring humanity.
Only then will human rights be respected.
Floods, Feudalism and Media Games
Pakistani media has been hyperactive since the devastating floods unleashed their wrath more than two weeks back. While being appreciated for their extensive coverage of the crisis, it has recently come under criticism for giving out a negative image of Pakistan at a time the country is going through one of the worst crisis of it’s history.
The media , some believe, should refrain from discussing mismanagement and avoid blame games. This might result in problems regarding aid influx by creating further credibility issues for the government.
Coverage of fake flood relief camps and ‘wadera-gardi’ has once again brought the rulers under media attack. While I also believe that Media should not indulge into stuff that may undermine relief and rehabilitation efforts, I am all in favour of the media exposing the mentality of some of the ‘thhekedaars’ of this mostly poor awam
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ2-vvQ1jiA
I fail to understand the ‘game’ part really. From what I understand -
In short, let us do what we want to do. Keep silent , and you can get back to your complaining and cribbing once the crisis is over. It is not ‘us’ who are responsible for sending out a positive image of the country but YOU who are to be blamed for exposing the TRUTH. Let the feudals do as they please . Pakistan is their property after all. Let them create as much havoc as they want, we can cover that up with the ‘aid’ which must not be discouraged by your ‘games’.
Media men are not holy cows as they love to pretend. But when they are right , they ARE right. It is important to make people understand the real face of our ruling elite and this IS the right time.
63 years of indedpendence - and feudalism still continues to rot our foundations. The jageerdars couldnt help being their nasty selves at a time when they were required to help there countrymen SURVIVE. It is shameful that these people are there in the Assemblies , claiming to represent the same poor people they preferred to drown in order to save their lands.
Fish and fruits were much more important than those stinking dirty low-life creatures inhabiting their kingdoms. Who cares if a few of them got washed away? Media should shut up and let the aid come. Let the world help while they are busy helping themselves.
Speaking Everybody’s Language
”…But other countries that have done even worse than Americans have escaped notice. Countries like Egypt, Jordan and Pakistan, supported by the United States, are committing acts that cannot be justified by any law, Islamic or otherwise. Look at Pakistan, our neighbour. How does it treat Afghans?
Pakistan, which plays a key role in Asia, is so famous for treachery that it is said they can get milk from a bull. They have two tongues in one mouth, and two faces on one head so they can speak everybody’s language; they use everybody, deceive everybody. They deceive the Arabs under the guise of Islamic nuclear power, saying that they are defending Islam and Islamic countries. They milk America and Europe in the alliance against terrorism, and they have been deceiving Pakistani and other Muslims around the world in the name of Kashmiri jihad. But behind the curtain, they have been betraying everyone.
Their Islam and their jihad were to destroy their neighbouring Islamic country together with the infidels. They handed over their airports to the Americans so they could kill Muslims and destroy an Islamic country. Their loyalty to the Arabs is so great that they sold diplomats, journalists and mujahideen for dollars. Like animals. God knows whether they will ever use their nuclear bombs to defend Muslims and Islam. They might use their weapons- as they have used everything else- against Muslims ”
My Life With The Taliban by Abdul Salam Zaeef (Pages 234-235)
The excerpt has been taken from the autobiography of Abdul Salam Zaeef , one of the founding members of the Taliban movement and Afghanistan’s ambasssador to Pakistan from 2000-2001. I got my hands on the book intending to learn who and what Taliban actually are. I am still not clear about how wrong the Taliban are, or were, but one thing that I know after reading the book is that the Afghans have been wronged, Pakistan has been wronged , the world has been wronged.
Although the way my country has been described is extremely humiliating and embarassing to me as a Pakistani, I’ve still decided to speak my mind based on what I read. I do not intend to fuel hatred for the Taliban by writing this post , telling people to hate them more because they hate our country. I don’t know the difference between a good Talib and a bad Talib. I don’t know about the allegations laid on us for playing double games in the war on terror. I neither favour Taliban nor am I against them for I, honestly, still am unaware of the ground realities. However, I must clearly state here that I am NOT a terrorist sympathiser and condemn EVERYONE working against my people be they Afghan Taliban , Pakistani Taliban or any other murderers from any other group. I refuse to be categorized as either an American or a Taliban supporter for I do not know what the truth is. Sitting a few hundred kilometers from the battlefield, I am a mere observer – dependent on the media - of how things are unfolding as the war on terror continues to spread anarchy around the world and especially in my own beloved Pakistan.
Zaeef talks bitterly about Pakistan throughout his book. He had been a refugee here during the Soviet war in the 80s and had been trained by the ISI for fighting the Russian and Afghan forces. Zaeef’s bitterness, or better, hatred for the Pakistani regime is an outcome of the treatment that he received at the hands of Pakistani authorities when Afghanistan was raided in 2001. Imagine a diplomat being invited to official parties and being talked to respecfully for his status of an ‘ambassador’ - Policy change - Imagine the same ambassador being arrested , tortured and being sold to American authorities. He was a good man for Pakistan when he came to resume his duties as a Taliban spokesman , a terrorist attack on American soil turned him to a terrorist too. How do you expect the man would react at a 180 degree change? Just as Zaeef did.
For my lack of knowledge, I cannot take Zaeef’s words as a generalized opinion about my country in Afghanistan. But being a veteran Talib and having experienced relations with Pakistan’s power structure, his opinion carries enough weight.
In Pakistan , people don’t really mind when the military takes over because they think that the khaki wardi walas are much more disciplined and less corrupt than our suit-boot-wala democrats who keep failing us again and again. We are happy with the short-term benefits, unaware of the brutality being committed by our saviours in the name of ‘national interest’.
Musharraf is hated and he’s hated for all the right reasons. Democrats are being hated and that too, for all the right reasons. No policy difference has been observed since the ouster of a dictator and the rise of democracy. There has been merely a face change in the name of ‘power to the people’. As we continue to persue our ‘national interest’ by submitting our pride to the Western forces , we are making more enemies than friends throughout the world.
DO MORE is what we hear every few months along with threats of being attacked in case of another terrorist attack on American soil. ‘Exporting terror everywhere’ is what we are blamed for in return of the blood that is spilled on daily basis in the streets of F.A.T.A , Khyber Pk, Lahore, Karachi and elsewhere in the country. Flood victims are not being sent adequate aid due to this dodgy image that we’ve created for ourselves post 9/11. Americans use us , British manipulate us and Afghans probably now hate us. What have we achieved in this bloody game?
Musharraf says that he was threatened for being bombed to the stone-age if he didn’t comply with the American wishes in 2001. Where, may I ask, do we stand now? The world’s most dangerous country , a failed state – is what the world calls us for being a part of this unholy alliance formed to bring ‘peace’ to the region. How peaceful are we after almost a decade of our selfish persuit of unrealisitic goals? They all know - the democrats , the generals- but they still choose to ‘bow down’ for God knows what sort of ‘national interests’.
Pakistanis often argue about whether the war against terror is justified or not. I was not clear on this issue until sometime ago. I was perhaps inclined towards the lobby that believed it was. But today I’m clear it is not. Not because I have become sympathetic towards Taliban after reading Zaeef’s book or that I belong to the America-phobic circle, but because in one word , it is UNJUSTIFIED. This war has been thrust upon us. And we never resisted. That’s the shameful part.
The war is responsible for the rising extremism in my country. Never did we hear of suicide bombings before - a common sight nowadays. Why are we paying the price of what happened in America a decade ago? Millions of Afghans, Iraqis and my own beloved Pakistanis have been slaughtered, bombed, sold and left on the mercy of American animals in prisons like the Gunatanamo, for no good reason. Wars can never establish peace. This so-called ’movement of peace’ has only spread more terror.
Having said all that , I also believe that those enforcing themselves as the soldiers of Islam must also be properly dealt with. The self-proclaimed flag-bearers of Islam butchering people in the name of my religion are much bigger enemies than those who are responsible for throwing us into this quicksand of misery.
Humiliation and more humiliation seems to be Pakistan’s prize for opting to support the war , bringing it to our own country and continuing with it for nothing except more misery. I just hope we get out of this mess before it’s too late.
To all those who’ll frown at me for my views , calling me a terrorist sympathiser or a Taliban at heart – I am just a concerned Pakistani speaking my mind on an issue of grave importance. Please try digesting the fact that a person can have different views without having to be labelled a Jamaati.

Ramadan 2010
It’s that special time of the year again – a whole month of blessings, maximum reward and spiritual cleansing. Ramadan Moon Sighted .
I’ve been fasting since a few days to cover up my rozas missed over a period of time but the experience has not been as enjoyable and ‘spiritually delicious’ as it is during Ramadan. There’s something special about the Ramadanic (if I may say so) atmosphere. Although there is a feeling of being ‘clean’ physically and spiritually , it’s just not the same as the one a Muslim experiences during the holy month.
This year , there’s going to be more plain and healthy food instead of french fries , samosas, rolls and pakorras for me. Eating simple food and enjoying the real spirit of Ramadan is what I intend to do throughout the month. Simple Iftari and even simpler sehri.
What difference does it make when you stay hungry from dawn to dusk and eat like youve never eaten before as soon as the first maghrib Adhaan is announced? Ramadan is supposed to teach you patience , perseverance and make you understand the suffering of the unprivileged. And poor people do not stay hungry during the day and ‘party’ after Maghrib, like we do.
In our country , Ramadan has become more of a ritual than a spiritual experience. 30 days of lavish meals , parties, Eid shopping and gaining weight instead of shedding some. We really need to understand that merely ’staying hungry’ is NOT what God wants from us. He doesn’t want us to starve for no reason. It’s the patience , steadfastness, piety, righteousness and submission to God that matters.
For those who do not know :
Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic lunar Calander. Muslims are required to fast from dawn until the sun set and are strictly required to adhere to the restrictions imposed by God during roza :
It is made lawful for you to go in unto your wives on the night of the fast. They are raiment for you and ye are raiment for them. Allah is Aware that ye were deceiving yourselves in this respect and He hath turned in mercy toward you and relieved you. So hold intercourse with them and seek that which Allah hath ordained for you, and eat and drink until the white thread becometh distinct to you from the black thread of the dawn. Then strictly observe the fast till nightfall and touch them not, but be at your devotions in the mosques. These are the limits imposed by Allah, so approach them not. Thus Allah expoundeth His revelation to mankind that they may ward off (evil).
2: 187 – Al-Bakarah (The Cow )
The month is divided into three Ashras. An ashra consists of ten days. The first Ashra or the first ten days of Ramadan are believed to be days of mercy. The second Ashra are the days of forgiveness and the last ten days are for emancipation from hell-fire.
Laila-tul-Qadr or the Night of power is believed to fall one of the odd nights (21,23,27,29) of the last Ashra. This is the night when The Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet (pbuh) for the first time by the angel Gabrael. Laila-tul-Qadr has immense importance for the Muslims and is the most rewarding night created by God. God says in Chapter 97 of the Quran :
In the name of Allah , the most Gracious , the Most Merciful
1.We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the night of Power:
2.And what will explain to thee what the night of Power is?
3. The Night of power is better than a thousand months
4. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit with Allah’s permission, on every errand:
5. Peace!… this until the rise of dawn.
Al-Qadr( Power , Fate)
Although Muslims are required to exercise Islam in its true sense all the time , special importance has been laid on Ramadan as the month is believed to be the most sacred of all. Muslims try to abstain from evil as much as they can in an attempt to purify themselves througout the blessed month. Following are some Ahadith or sayings of the Prophet(pbuh) regarding Ramadan and fasting :
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter). So, the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should tell him twice, ‘I am fasting.” The Prophet added, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), ‘He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds is multiplied ten times.”
Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 3 Book 31 Number 118
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, “Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)”
Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 3 Book 31 Number 127
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, “Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.”
Sahih Bukhari Volume 3 Book 31 Number 125
Such is the reward of this is great month.
May Allah bless us all and help us attain our goals , chaining our inner devils, keeping us fit mentally and physically , safeguarding and elevating our Iman and may He accept our struggle and reward us.
Ramadan Mubarak to all!
Baba Sayeen Is The Best Father, Your Highness!
Dear Future Prime Minister,
This is a small letter to testify that your father is the best father in the whole wide world. We, the 180 million ‘subject’s of his kingdom are witnesses to his overpowering love for his little master , his prospective successor of the throne he currently enjoys- His Shehzada Saleem (do you know who he is by the way? Ah ,never mind!)
Don’t believe me?
Let me try to enlighten you, Your Majesty.
28th July – A plane carrying 152 people from Karachi crashed into the Margalla Hills. Nobody survived.
Do you know where Margalla Hills are, Mr Future Prime minister? They are in Islamabad , the capital? The city where your dad lives when he’s not holidaying somewhere outside the country!? Right…
So I was saying that your Baba Sayeen proved that you, Your Highness, were far more important than those 152 people who died a few kilometres away from the Palace. He was probably making plans for your career launch when that crash disturbed him. He couldn’t be bothered to visit the accident site. He was too occupied. And anyways, what were 152 after all? That’s perfectly normal in his kingdom.
And then there was this statement by David Cameron that enraged the whole nation. The man has been charged for blaming your dad’s kingdom for exporting terror ‘here and there and everywhere’! And that too while he was in India – the bordering country? The traditional rival, India? You know? He’s believed to have insulted us. But hey! Your dad was not bothered. He stuck on to his decision to visit the gora-land for you, trampeling the nation’s honour under his feet. What are 180 million subjects in front of you dear Bilawal?
And did you hear about the floods the world is talking about? More than 1500 died and millions rendered homeless. People drowned , animals drowned , the whole infrastructure has been washed away. People have lost their businesses and have been forced to live as refugees in their own country. But hey, hey, hey ! Your dad being the BEST dad in the world had YOU in mind all the time. The death toll didn’t matter. All that mattered was you – Our future saviour.
He never wasted his time on these good for nothing, filthy, underprivileged ghareeb awam that he’s reminded of only when he wants votes. He let them drown. What should not drown is your career, Sultan!
As I write this testimony of this great father-son relationship , my countrymen are screaming ‘HELP’ while you are enjoying quality time with your father in some posh hotel in Europe , eating the finest food , visiting museums ,having a family picnic.
Bilawal Zardari poori qaum pe bhari – Whoelse my dear Prince Bilawal, deserves being called the ‘best’ father except Baba Sayeen?
Promising to be fooled again.
Yours Sincerely,
The Pakistani Awam.
Hey You!
What kind of sick desperados are you all perverts landing onto my blog searching nonsense regarding FAUZIA WAHAB?
The woman is old enough – Atleast spare HER , filthy minds!
Insaan bano!
Survival
Just as it seems it can’t get any worse , something goes wrong, plunging everyone into a whirlwind of emotional stress. Again and again.
Seemingly never-ending , a test it is - a bit too difficult in our case I guess.
I wonder if I’m getting stronger each day or being eroded from the inside. I am tired. I hope it ends. Something Ive been doing since a long time now…
And then, I see the suffering around and think to myself – we are atleast better than many.
